Introduction

The Software Development Collaboration Center (SDCC) is a cross-unit team assigned to modernize, align, and elevate how the University designs, builds, integrates, and supports software across schools, units, and research domains.

This website documents the SDCC’s processes, standards, and recommendations to accomplish that mission. This is a resource for all IT@NU developers.

The SDCC’s efforts are guided by these principles.

Collaboration

How can we best ensure cross team and organizational collaborations?

Sustainability

Can this way of working be sustained without heroics?

Maintainability

Can the solution be supported, patched, and enhanced over time?

Scalability

Does the approach scale across teams, products, and users?

Security

Security is built in, not bolted on at the end.

Shared Accountability

Quality and outcomes are collective responsibilities.
